Brief description:

  • The Char Dham Yatra is a revered pilgrimage in Uttarakhand, encompassing Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These four sacred sites hold immense spiritual significance, believed to purify the soul and lead to salvation. Yamunotri and Gangotri mark the origins of the holy rivers Yamuna and Ganga, symbolizing divine grace and purity. Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, while Badrinath, the abode of Lord Vishnu, represents eternal peace and salvation.

  • Pilgrims undertake this journey not just for religious devotion but for spiritual awakening, navigating rugged Himalayan terrains in search of divine blessings. The yatra is a test of faith and endurance, offering breathtaking landscapes and a deep connection with nature and divinity.
